‘Trap Queen’ singer Fetty Wap gets married 10 months after prison release

Fetty Wap ties the knot with his partner Alexis

Fetty Wap is starting a new chapter in his life as a married man after his release from prison earlier this year.

The Trap Queen hitmaker rapper and his girlfriend, Alexis, have tied the knot in a lavish New Jersey ceremony. The blushing bride announced the news in an Instagram post shared on Saturday, November 7.

“Mr. And Mrs. Maxwell,” she captioned the post, which featured pictures of the newlyweds dressed in matching white outfits.

The couple exchanged vows on November 5 at a castle-like venue, with nearly 100 guests in attendance, The Shade Room reported.

Alexis wore a white satin ballgown with lace detailing, sheer sleeves and a long veil, completing her look with Jimmy Choo heels. Fetty, whose real name is Willie Maxwell II, chose an all-white satin suit with a long coat.

The couple announced their engagement on July 20.

The wedding comes after a major period of change for Fetty. He was released from prison in January after serving about four years of a six-year sentence for a drug trafficking conspiracy conviction.

Reflecting on his fresh start, he told Rolling Stone, “I feel new. I feel rehabilitated, in a sense. I just have this clear mindset where it’s like nothing’s really that important.”
