Russell Brand’s wife Laura Gallacher has reportedly left people close to her family worried as she continues to stand by the comedian despite his recent conviction.
A family friend believes Brand has a strong hold over Laura and has made her think that he did nothing wrong.
The friend also claimed that Laura is finding it hard to accept the evidence shared by the women who accused her husband.

According to the Daily Mail, Laura believes Brand was wrongly found guilty and is keen to fight the decision in court. She, however, reportedly sees the fact that he was cleared of some charges as a reason to believe he is innocent.
Brand was found guilty of raping a 21-year-old woman in 2009 and sexually assaulting three other women between 2004 and 2009.
During the trial, Laura was present in court and listened as the women spoke about their experiences.
The family friend hopes the conviction will give Laura some time to think about the situation without Brand’s influence.

Brand, meanwhile, is being held at HMP Wandsworth as he waits for his sentence. Prison officers have reportedly decided to keep him in a cell alone because they fear other inmates could harm him.
