Recently, at the White House, a pompous UFC event was held ahead of America’s 250th anniversary of independence.
There, President Trump celebrated his 80th birthday, surrounded by his supporters.
Notably, the UFC event took place at the White House for the first time in U.S. history.
But actor Larry David was not swooned by it. In fact, he was rather disgusted.
“It was a travesty,” the actor told Variety while promoting his new HBO comedy series, Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness, which will debut on June 26.
“What else can you say about it? It was embarrassing. I was embarrassed to be an American,” he shared.
David, meanwhile, is a long-time critic of Trump.
Previously on the Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace show, he lampooned the politician for refusing to admit defeat in the 2020 election.
“You can’t go a day without thinking about what he’s done to this country because he’s such a little baby that he’s thrown 250 years of democracy out the window by not accepting the results of the—I mean, it’s so crazy; he’s such a sociopath, he’s so insane, he just couldn’t admit to losing.”
“And we know he lost. He knows he lost. And look how he’s fooled everybody; he’s convinced all these people that he didn’t lose. He’s such a sick man. He’s so sick,” David concluded.
