Tom Brady has cursed on a live broadcast for the second time this season, after getting a trivia question about NFL passing records wrong on Sunday’s pregame show.
On 1 November, Brady appeared on Fox NFL Sunday from Detroit, where he was due to call the Vikings-Lions game.
He was asked who ranked third, behind Drew Brees and himself, in career 300-yard passing games.

He first guessed Brees, then seemed to realise his mistake and said “Oh, s**t”. He turned away from the camera, then looked back and smiled, and went on to name Peyton Manning, the correct answer.
Michael Strahan and Terry Bradshaw, who were on set, laughed along with the moment.
It was not the first time Brady has slipped on air this season.
In September, while covering the Commanders-Cowboys game in Arlington, Texas, he said the same thing when reacting to a replay of Jayden Daniels’ dislocated left elbow.
“Excuse me. I was not expecting to see that,” he said afterwards.
The latest incident comes after Brady was heard criticising officiating during Fox’s Packers-Lions broadcast the previous Sunday.
Brady, who is also a part-owner of the Raiders, is bound by NFL team-access restrictions that stop him from criticising officiating too strenuously.
A source said the NFL regularly talks with its broadcast partners about such matters but keeps those conversations private.
Profane content is restricted on broadcast television between 6am and 10pm, and the FCC can issue warnings, impose fines or revoke licences.
It is unclear whether the regulator will take any action over Brady’s remarks. Neither Fox nor the FCC has responded to requests for comment.
