“Saturday Night Live” has suffered a major blow as Chloe Fineman has announced she is leaving the show after seven seasons.
“After 7 wonderful seasons at ‘SNL’ I have decided it’s time for my next chapter,” the 37-year-old comedian announced on Instagram on Thursday.
She further penned, “It’s cliche to say this but working at ‘SNL’ has been the greatest privilege of my life. I still can’t really believe I got to be a part of it.”
“I fell in love with the place the second I walked through the door,” Chloe continued. “Lorne [Michaels] (if you’re reading this on your burner account) I want you to know that I am forever in your debt.”
Reflecting on her time at the late-night show, Chloe praised the cast and crew, describing them as “the best in the business.”
“It’s really hard to leave SNL but it does feel like the right time. I’m going to miss it a lot. But the people who work there are my family and that place is my home, and I know I’ll never be too far away,” she wrote.
For those unversed, Chloe joined SNL in 2019 as part of the Season 45 cast alongside Bowen Yang.
