Meghan Markle’s father Thomas Markle Sr is currently under investigation for allegations of holding child pornographic material and child abuse after the disturbing news surfaced last month.
The Duchess of Sussex had expressed her distress over the news, revealing that she had known about it since 2019. Hence, the reason why she has not wanted to reconcile with her father neither let her children meet him.
Even though the Palace has distanced itself via sources claiming that the matter is “for the Sussex household”.

Reports also claimed that the Palace was not informed of the allegations at the time. However, the latest developments paint a very different picture.
Prince Harry’s wife had received a letter from Thomas Sr’s first wife Roslyn Loveless – who passed away in 2024 – about the claims. Meghan had wanted to go public with the matter but she was forced to stay silent by one of the Palace staffers.
One of her Royalty and Specialist Protection [RaSP] bodyguards reportedly told her: “Leave it with us, we’ll investigate it.”
Seven years later, the matter was not investigated due to the incident taking place abroad. But the information was also not passed on the relevant authorities, The Times reported.
The Met are trying to identify and find the office in question. A source from Met criticised that they failed to understand the significance of the letter.
“RaSP would only have been interested in what it meant for the security of the Duke and Duchess [of Sussex]. Having assessed that, they should have thought about the wider consequences.”
Meanwhile, sources have also claimed that Harry and Meghan’s bodyguards were aware of the allegations but their closest advisors at Kensington Palace at the time were reportedly kept in the dark.
