Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alum Brandi Glanville has revealed she has a “benign tumor” in her face, after experiencing facial disfigurement for three years.
In February, Glanville, 53, opened up to TMZ about learning that she had a parasite, which led to severe facial swelling and disfigurement that started in 2023. She said she later discovered the infection was caused by a rupture of her decades-old breast implants, resulting in “silicone all over [her] lymph nodes.”
During a recent episode of her Unfiltered podcast, Glanville shared another update on her health, saying she has “a benign tumor in one of my lymph nodes in my face.”
“That could be why the fluid is going around my face,” she said. “I can wear makeup for like 15 minutes, and I have to take it off.”
She also clarified: “A benign tumor is not cancerous.”
“Every doctor that I’ve showed, they’re like, ‘It’s just scar tissue.’ I’m like, ‘From what? I haven’t had a facelift yet,” Glanville contined on the podcast. “I couldn’t understand. There’s a lot of dismissing that goes on in the medical field.”
“I just want to put a ton of makeup on again, get my hair extended,” she concluded. “I want to have a glow-up.”
The reality star made the comments about the benign tumor days after she said that her parasite, which caused her facial disfigurement, was back.
“I have to give an update on my face because I got a lot of comments,” she said on a June 4 episode of her podcast. “I don’t know what’s wrong with me, guys. I thought I was fixed, and then it happened again. And now it’s sinking in again. If I had answers, I would tell you. I’ve been to a million doctors.”
She said the only thing that improved her condition was a parasite medication and a “parasite diet,” though she did not elaborate on what the diet entailed.
“Is there a doctor that specializes in parasites?” she asked. “Because I can’t find one. I’ve been to a thousand dermatologists.”
During an interview with Inside Edition earlier this year, Glanville — who starred on RHOBH from 2011 to 2016 and reappeared from 2019 to 2020 — opened up about getting her ruptured breast implants removed to treat the parasite that was causing her facial disfigurement.
Her plastic surgeon, Dr. Ariel Ourian, also spoke about the procedure, calling her case “really complicated.”
“It is torn, it is ripped, and this is actually much worse than I had expected,” he said of Glanville’s right implant, while explaining that the second implant was intact. “I think she’s going to be really happy with putting in fresh, new implants that have a lower risk of rupture.”
