Prince Harry, Meghan Markle honour promise to King with fresh announcement

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are honouring their promise to King Charles despite ongoing tensions as they announced their next move.

Sources had revealed that the Sussexes do not want any diary clashes with the royals and they are being mindful about it.

Just as the King returned home after concluding his high-stakes Caribbean tour, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex revealed that they will be travelling to Brussels, Belgium, for a meaningful event.

The doting parents of two have advocated for children’s safety on a number of occasions. And some of their most important work revolves around making sure children are also secure online and offline.

Harry and Meghan will arrive in Brussels on Tuesday to open the Lost Screen Memorial, which honours children who lost their lives due to the harms of social media.

The first one was unveiled in April 2025 in New York and the second was done by Meghan in May of this year at Geneva’s Place des Nations.

This event is particularly significant in light of the events concerning Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle Sr, who is being investigated over claims of paedophilia and child abuse.

Archie and Lilibet’s mum has expressed her heartbreak for the victims and has voiced her support for the law that needs to take its course.

Moreover, the event in Belgium also wraps up just in time for Prince William’s Earthshot Prize, which will be held in India on November 17th. It is anticipated that Princess Kate will also be joining her husband.
