Offset is expressing his gratitude for his fast recovery after he was shot outside of a casino in Florida earlier in April.
In the April 24 episode of the Creators Inc. Podcast, which was recorded just six days after the ordeal, the rapper, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, sat down with Andy Bachman and got candid about getting back to normal life this real quick.
When the host showed his surprising reaction to Offset’s fast return to regular life after being shot, the rapper said he is “blessed” to still be able to move.
Taking a moment to reflect on it, Offset shared, “People get shot every day. You got to keep pushing. Like Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this s*** pushing.”
The hip hop star even performed onstage at the University of Arkansas’s Rowfest just two days after he was discharged from the hospital.
The Open It Up singer explained, “The show don’t ever stop at the end of the day. I was blessed enough to be able to still move. So, I’m still moving. The grind don’t stop bro. I don’t want nobody feel sorry for me or no s*** like that.
”Like I’m blessed. I can keep pushing. So why would I just sit down? I got to keep pushing. I got to keep going.”
Andy then inquired about his injury, to which Offset replied, “I just got hit in my hip.”
As per the recent development after the incident, authorities have not yet charged anyone, but fellow rapper Lil Tjay was briefly detained at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct before being released the same day.
In his first public statement after the incident, the Migos member thanked fans for their support and revealed that he is focused on recovery, family, and returning to music..
