Kathy Griffin has lashed out at Rosie O’Donnell for ignoring her during her guest host stint on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
For those unaware, O’Donnell is performing hosting duties for four night as Kimmel is on summer vacation.
Griffin, who believed that her longtime pal would invite her on the show for one segment, shared her disappointment in a video she uploaded on her social media.
She said, “I’m just going to come out and say it. Are you ready? It’s embarrassing to say, but I have to tell you guys, because we’re friends: my feelings are really hurt that I was not invited to go on Rosie’s week of the Jimmy Kimmel show.”
“She didn’t say anything about me being a guest. And I thought, well, she’s the guest host. She may have no say in it. And to this day, I don’t know if she has any say in it,” the Pulp Fiction star quipped.
Moving forward in the video, Griffen went on to emphasize that she and O’Donnell are one of the “oldest friends” in Hollywood, clarifying that they were not “fighting.”
The Seinfeld actress quipped, “Like I said, we’re good pals. We’re like sisters, and everybody knows sisters fight. Sisters and brothers fight. Best friends fight. Relatives, co-workers fight. And we’re not even fighting. I’m just being honest.”
“She told me about being asked by the Kimmel show to do a whole week, which I thought was fantastic. We talked about her doing Kimmel a lot. And one of the first things I said was, ‘Well, this doesn’t need to be said, but I would love to be a guest,’” Kathy Griffin concluded.
