Hayden Panettiere’s boyfriend, Brian Hickerson, was reportedly pressuring the actress to have his child despite her serious reservations.
“Brian wasn’t casually talking about someday becoming a father — he was pushing Hayden to have a baby with him,” a source told Naughty But Nice on Sunday.
“She understood exactly what another pregnancy could potentially mean for her emotionally, and she wasn’t convinced it was something she wanted to risk,” the insider continued.
The confidant also shared that the late actress’ pal was concerned about Brian’s financial situation.
“Brian was struggling financially, so people absolutely questioned his motives,” the insider claimed. “A baby wouldn’t just make them parents — it would connect him to Hayden for the rest of his life. That raised alarm bells.”
According to a tipster, the decision was far more complicated for the Remember the Titans star than simply whether she wanted another child.
“Hayden knew how badly things had gone after Kaya,” the insider explained. “She had lived through postpartum depression, addiction and the heartbreak of being separated from her daughter.”
“Brian wanted a baby. Hayden understood the possible consequences. That was the tension between them,” the source added.
For those unversed, Hayden was found unconscious at her residence in Greenville, South Carolina, on August 16.
Reports now indicate that Brian was present at the time of Hayden’s death. His presence is raising questions.
