Cardi B is opening up about the difficult circumstances surrounding her fourth pregnancy as she and Stefon Diggs celebrate their son’s first birthday.
On Wednesday, November 4, the Grammy-winning rapper shared an emotional tribute on Instagram, revealing her baby boy’s name publicly for the first time while reflecting on the challenges she faced while carrying him.
“Happy 1st birthday to Grey Marsean Diggs,” Cardi wrote. “It’s only been 1 year since meeting you but it feels like I’ve had you at my side forever.”

The mother of four went on to describe how her son helped her navigate an especially difficult period in her life.
“I carried you through one of the most uncertain and high pressured times of my life but having you inside of me through it all gave me a extra strength,” she wrote. “I was growing you inside of me and at the same time you were giving me life! You gave a new meaning to what a Grey day feels like. You light up my life and every room with your smile your laugh and your precious spirit.”
Cardi, 34, first confirmed she’s dating Stefon, 32, in December 2024 after months of speculation. By September of next year, she announced that they are expecting their first child together — her fourth overall (Cardi shares three kids with ex-husband Offset).
During her pregnancy, Cardi was going through a tumultuous divorce with Offset, and the pair famously took multiple jabs at each other on social media.
In February, the Bodack Yellow hitmaker confirmed that she had broken up with Stefon. A source told US Weekly that the pair broke up a few days before the Super Bowl LX because he allegedly “betrayed her so many times.”
Despite their breakup, Cardi and Diggs have continued to co-parent their son and have been spotted together on multiple occasions.
