Rihanna’s fans might not have to wait much longer for the singer’s new album, as she has returned to the studio.
A$AP Rocky has confirmed that the superstar singer is “cooking” new music in the studio “right now.”
During an appearance on the latest episode of The Jason Lee Show, the 37-year-old American rapper dismissed the theory that he was the reason Rihanna has taken so much time away from releasing an album.
Fans have speculated that her relationship with Rocky, a growing family, and various business ventures were delaying the arrival of new music.
However, Rocky has pushed back on the idea.
“Nah,” he repsonded when asked about the theory. “She in the studio right now. Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe.”
“Bro, she working. She cooking, no funny s—. Damn, I’mma get in trouble for this,” added Rocky.
Rihanna’s last studio album, ANTI, arrived in 2016.
While the Umbrella hitmaker hasn’t released an album in nearly a decade, she has never strayed from the public eye.
In 2023, Rihanna delivered a career-spanning performance at the Apple Music Super Bowl LVII halftime show.
Outside of music, she has expanded her influence through her brands, Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty.
During this time, Rihanna also welcomed three kids with A$AP.
