One of Britain’s most wish-listed Airbnb properties, which looks more like a spaceship than a holiday home, has been put up for sale in Scotland for over £750,000.
The unusual property, known as AirShip 002, is located on the Morvern Peninsula near Oban, overlooking the Sound of Mull.
Designed to resemble a futuristic aircraft, the aluminium-clad cabin features circular windows, a curved glass front, a wood-burning stove and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and sea.
However, the £750,000 asking price covers more than just the spaceship-shaped property.
The sale includes two other holiday homes, The PilotHouse and The Captain’s Cabin, along with a two-bedroom residence known as The Old Chapel.
According to estate agent Savills, the four-acre holiday complex has generated around £100,000 in annual turnover over the past four years.
The properties were designed by architect Roderick James, 79, and his wife, interior designer Amanda Markham, 73.
The couple initially developed AirShip 002 as an unusual holiday retreat before expanding the business following its popularity among tourists.
James said the properties have attracted visitors from around the world, including Japan.
The PilotHouse is a two-storey property with sea views, while The Captain’s Cabin has a rooftop balcony overlooking the water.
The couple have now decided to sell the business to focus on charitable projects in Rwanda, where James was born.
The properties have also appeared on television programmes, including Scotland’s Greatest Escape and Alan Cumming’s Paradise Homes.
Savills is accepting offers above £750,000 for the entire collection.
