SAN FRANCISCO — It all comes down to this: The first Game 7 in WNBA Finals history will decide a first-time champion.
The No. 2 seed Golden State Valkyries host the No. 4 Atlanta Dream at 8 p.m. ET Saturday as both teams seek their first WNBA title in franchise history.
The series returns to Chase Center on Halloween for the decisive game. Golden State is 2-1 at Ballhalla this series, most recently winning Game 5 here Monday night. The Dream responded with an emphatic Game 6 victory in Atlanta on Thursday afternoon to force the series to go the distance.
The WNBA moved to a best-of-seven format for the Finals last season, but Las Vegas won in a sweep.
ESPN is courtside Saturday. Michael Voepel, Alexa Philippou and Kendra Andrews will provide live analysis and highlights throughout the game.
