Vadilal Industries Ltd. reported a 64.1% year-on-year jump in consolidated net profit for the September quarter, supported by strong revenue growth and improved profitability.

The ice cream maker’s consolidated net profit rose to Rs 54.82 crore in the second quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 33.42 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to its financial results approved by the board on October 30.

Revenue from operations increased 35.2% year-on-year to Rs 462.56 crore from Rs 342.02 crore in the year-ago quarter, reflecting higher business activity. Total income, including other income, stood at Rs 470.56 crore, compared with Rs 348.62 crore a year earlier.

Total expenses increased to Rs 397.75 crore from Rs 305.45 crore, while the company’s tax expense rose to Rs 17.99 crore from Rs 9.75 crore.

The company’s profit growth outpaced its revenue expansion, indicating an improvement in profitability during the quarter.

The sequential decline comes against a strong June-quarter base, with the latest results showing a contrasting picture on a year-on-year basis.
