Tucker Carlson has spoken about the speculation surrounding whether or not he will consider a White House bid in 2028 based on his new 10 point manifesto which appears to have some indications of a potential run for president.
He formerly worked as a host at Fox News and is now a political commentator supporting the right wing with a base of over 5.7 million people on YouTube.
However, while addressing the speculation regarding a run for office, Carlson stated that his primary focus is to build a broader political movement and did not confirm the 2028 run.
Speculation that Carlson may be considering a White House run was heightened when he held an online live stream from his home in Maine where he outlined what he believes should be the vision of America’s future.
The 57-year-old independent journalist criticized President Donald Trump regarding the latter’s foreign policy, immigration, and how much information the U.S. government provides its citizens.
Additionally, the event reignited discussion concerning the possibility of creating a third party movement based upon disenchanted Make America Great Again (MAGA) supporters.
As many prominent conservatives; most notably former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, have called for Carlson to pursue a presidential bid, Carlson stated again, but this time with seriousness, that he would entertain a run for the presidency.
Carlson had previously made light of the idea of White House bid but he also said that “he wouldn’t rule it out.”
