Shanna Moakler is addressing the online reaction after she made a pointed comment about her ex-husband Travis Barker’s wife, Kourtney Kardashian.
Moakler and Barker were married from 2004 to 2008 and share two children together. This week, Barker attended the premiere of his new documentary with Kardashian and several of his kids. Kardashian’s own children were not present at the event.
After photos from the premiere were shared online, Moakler posted a comment questioning where Kardashian’s children were, though she later deleted it. The comment quickly gained attention online.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Moakler downplayed the situation, saying she often posts and deletes things on social media and didn’t want to add more to the story. She mentioned that she plans to share more about her life and experiences in an upcoming memoir.
“Honestly, there’s no major story here. I post and delete things on social media all the time, and there really isn’t anything more I want to add to it. In due time, I’ll be sharing my story in my own words through my book and I’m looking forward to that.”
Moakler recently launched a wellness brand and has been working on her memoir for several months. She said the book will cover different chapters of her life, including her past relationship with boxer Oscar De La Hoya and her marriage and divorce from Barker.
She emphasised that the book isn’t meant to criticise anyone, but rather to share her own story and inspire other women.
Moakler has previously been involved in public disagreements with the Kardashian family, especially after Barker began dating Kourtney in 2021.
