Taylor Swift proved her mettle in songwriting when she created fictional worlds for her albums folklore and evermore, and those characters are still alive in fans’ minds.
The 36-year-old pop superstar recently attended a Toy Story 5 event, where she was asked about the infamous folklore love triangle between James, Betty and Augustine, during a fan Q/A session.
The fan later took to social media and shared that when she asked Swift how Augustine’s character was doing now, she responded that the character is “doing great!”

The comments touched the fans who related to the character and her story arc, and they wrote on X, “Taylor saying August is doing better now… im shaking and throwing up.”
Another added, “STOP IM GOING TO CRY. Identifying with Augusta more than Betty looking back is so tragic to think about for her situation then but obvi now is good.”
A third chimed in, “well it was over 5 years ago i would hope she’s okay now,” while someone shared their own experience, writing, “seeing this on day 1 of breakup…. So it gets better.”
One penned, “ohhhhh i might cry,” while someone theorised, “Yeah it was about her and Ratty,” referring to Swift’s brief relationship with Matty Healy, implying that the song was based on real-life events.
