Twin Falls police have revealed the identity of the suspect who shot himself dead with self inflicted gunshots at a southern Idaho In-N-Out restaurant.
The mass shooting incident took place at a fast-food chain in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Saturday, August 1.
The incident left three people dead and seven injured.
According to the authorities, the suspect, Chad Williams, opened fire on Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2026.
Twin Falls Police Chief Matthew Hicks held a press conference on Sunday, August 2, and said Williams acted on his own will.
“Based on the best information that we have at this time, we are confident that Williams acted alone.”
Hicks added authorities believe the pair helped drive Williams from the scene “preventing further casualties.”

Though the officials have not disclosed much information about the suspect, saying he died of self-inflicted gunshot wounds, the motive remains under investigation.
The seven injured are under treatment at a local medical center, with three in stable condition and two remaining in critical condition.
The Twin Falls area, where shooting took place is located at about 130 miles (205 km) south-east of Boise and about 75 miles (120 km) north of the Nevada border.
