Scarlett Johansson has shared some shocking details about her mysterious role in The Batman: Part II.
In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, the 41-year-old actress revealed that her role in the upcoming superhero film was “hard to crack” and left her with “existential angst.”
“It gave me a lot of existential angst, for some reason,” Scarlett told the outlet. “It was very hard to figure out.”
“I don’t know why, whether it was just the role or it was just where I am in my life, but it was just hard to crack it,” she added. “That’s all I can say about it. It was a tough role in a lot of ways.”
For those unaware, Scarlett is playing the role of Gilda Dent in The Batman: Part II. The upcoming superhero film will be released in cinemas on February 18, 2028.
In the film, Robert Pattinson will appear in the role of Bruce Wayne/Batman, while Sebastian Stan will be seen as Gotham City’s famous District Attorney, Harvey Dent.
Recently, in an interview with Collider, Robert revealed that the forthcoming sequel is entirely different from the previous film.
“It’s so ambitious. I mean, I sort of said the other day on something that the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another,” the 40-year-old star said. “It’s a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it.”
“But it just feels really ambitious, and I’m excited to see how it turns out,” he added.
