Sandra Bullock deeply felt the gravity of the infidelity scandal involving her ex-husband, Jesse James.
The Oscar-winning actress opened up about her split with the West Coast Choppers founder while speaking to Interview magazine.
“I was raising and protecting a little smurf while I was trying to grieve,” said Sandra, who had adopted son Louis in late 2009 just months before James admitted to infidelity during their four-year marriage.
The 62-year-old actress described that period as a “really dark time in my life.”
For those unaware, Sandra finalized her divorce from James in 2010.
Elsewhere in the interview, the Practical Magic actress revealed that she prioritizes her kids over her acting career.
“If the kids can’t be with me, I’m not going,” the mother-of-two said. “The older they get, the bigger their schedules. And their schedules are more important than me telling a story, period.”
“I don’t have that same drive to be in front of the camera. I get my fulfilment from the prep, the building of it, rather than the ‘Hey, I’m an actor and look at what I’ve done.’ That scares me actually, because then the judgement comes,” she added.
