An old video of Katy Perry and her former husband Russell Brand has started making the rounds again after his recent rape conviction.
The clip shows the pair at a party in 2010 but a simple chat at that time is now appeared to be different now.
The two were speaking to a reporter at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party when Brand started answering a question about the awards.
Perry suddenly spoke over him, joking that he had not even watched the show. Brand, however, looked caught off guard before trying to turn the moment into a joke.
Their conversation continued as Perry teased him about not telling the truth. Brand then told her not to swear because the interview was being shown in England.
Things became even more awkward when the reporter asked Perry how she managed to deal with him as she simply just said that he was actually funny, while Brand continued speaking during parts of the interview.

Another detail that caught people’s attention was a card Brand held with the word “Obey” written on it.
Some viewers, moreover, questioned why he had it, while others pointed out that Obey was also the name of a clothing brand.
