Prince William once stepped in to stop a fight involving actor Will during a night out in London.
The Coronation Street star has recalled how the future King came to his rescue during an evening at Boujis, the exclusive private members’ club in Kensington.
Speaking to Fearne Cotton on her Happy Place podcast, the 50 year old revealed that he was getting around on crutches after injuring himself while playing football.Â
Despite the injury, he was enjoying himself and was surprised to find himself standing next to Prince William when he went to the club’s toilets.

The pair later found themselves on the dance floor, Will said someone shoulder-barged him off his crutches, while others nearby stood laughing at him.
Furious at being knocked over, the actor launched himself at the man and admitted he was ready for a fight.Â
But before the confrontation could escalate, someone stepped in and grabbed him by the shoulders.
Recounting the moment, Will told Fearne: “I’ve got these hands on me shoulders picking me up and I’m sort of doing what I do.Â
And then I hear this person going, Leave it, Will. He’s not worth it. Leave it.”
“And it was Prince William, and he’s got his hands on my shoulders, looking at me now, going, ‘Will, leave it. He’s not worth it.'”
His protection officers soon arrived, and the actor was eventually escorted out of the club.
The star recalled how a friend rang him the following day, amused by what he had witnessed.
He said: “This is the funny part of this story: I go home the next day, and my mate phones me and goes, ‘I’ll never forget seeing William with his hands on your shoulders, like he was one of your mates.'”
