Earl Charles Spencer has moved royal fans to tears as he shared a rare photo of Princess Diana’ childhood home from 1997, the year she died.

Princess Diana’s younger brother turned to his official Instagranm Story as he reminisced about life at their childhood home in Northamptonshire in the 90s.

Prince William and Harry’s uncle took a trip down memory lane on Thursday, August 13, sharing a photo of the swans swimming in a lake on the family’s historic 13,000-acre Althorp Estate.

He shared the photo with musician Austin Farwell’s song Ripples in Time playing in the background.

The picture was reportedly taken in the same year Princess Diana tragically passed away in a Car crash in Paris.

“The original quartet of Althorp’s black swans, 1997,” Charles captioned the archival picture from the family’s private album.

Althorp has been home to the Spencer family for 500 years and was here Diana and her brother Charles spent much of their childhood with their siblings.

The property, which Charles inherited when he became the 9th Earl Spencer in 1992, boasts a grand house with over 90 rooms and extensive gardens.

Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children reportedly stayed at the same house during their recent trip to the UK.

In another post, he shared a throwback photo, revealing about starting his broadcasting career – exactly 40 years ago.

Visitors can walk lakeside on the property, where they can pay respects to the late Princess Diana, who was laid to rest on a private memorial island in the middle of the ornamental Oval Lake.
