Prince Harry, Meghan Markle mull dropping royal titles for good

Prince Harry, who was ready with an open heart to make amends and reunite with the royal family, may now give up his dream of reconciliation.

The British monarch has made it publicly clear that he will not change the Sussexes’ current status. 

But even if the palace doors remain closed, Harry’s courage to choose love over pride and forgiveness over bitterness can prove that true royalty is not about titles. It’s about heart.

And sometimes, the bravest reunion is the one you offer, even when it is not returned.

A source close to the couple suggests that the Sussexes may soon make a major announcement regarding their royal titles.

“Meghan and Harry never had any intention to exploit or benefit from their royal titles. They always wanted to build their own identity while still respecting the monarchy,” the source revealed.

They added, “The couple could soon clear the air about their titles as they consider dropping them.”

“However, they understand that this decision could bring more damage to the Firm, as people might misinterpret their motives and believe that they do not accept royalty and its traditions.”

In choosing integrity over privilege, Harry and Meghan can prove that true nobility is not in the titles you hold, but in the values you live by. Letting go of a crown to protect your truth takes more courage than wearing one.

Harry is still hoping to make some headway with his father and William, but so far there’s been very little encouragement. At some point, he’s going to throw in the towel.

But even if he walks away from the titles, he will never walk away from who he truly is, a son who tried to forgive, a husband who chose love, and a father who chose freedom for his family. And that is a legacy no crown can ever take away.

Former Buckingham Palace press secretary Dickie Arbiter previously claimed, “You can’t really take the title prince away because he hasn’t done anything wrong.”

The former aide admitted: “He’s just rubbed the family the wrong way, and that’s a private matter. He was born a prince, and he’ll die a prince.”
