Michael Carrick pressure grows, Bournemouth run riot at Man United

The pressure on Michael Carrick grew as Manchester United slumped to a limp 3-0 defeat to Bournemouth on Sunday.

Carrick had left Bruno Fernandes out of the team for the Premier League clash — and didn’t bring him off the bench — after his criticism of the team’s tactics following a 4-1 humbling against Como in midweek in the Champions League.

But with Fernandes looking on from the bench, his teammates were soundly beaten at Old Trafford.

Rayan, Marcus Tavernier and Evanilson scored the goals for the away side to leave Carrick’s job under more scrutiny than ever.
