Melissa Rycroft is facing a long list of restrictions after pleading guilty to a DWI charge stemming from her September 2025 arrest in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.
The 43-year-old The Bachelor alum entered her guilty plea on August 6, according to court documents obtained by Us Weekly.
The judge formally approved the plea deal on August 10.
Rather than spending 280 days behind bars, Rycroft will serve 20 months of probation. She must also pay about $2,000 in fines and court costs, complete 36 hours of community service within 120 days and take a DWI education course.
The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader is also required to undergo a substance abuse evaluation and can only drive a vehicle fitted with a camera-enabled ignition interlock device.
Her probation agreement comes with some serious fine print. Rycroft agreed to “abstain from illegal use, possession, or sale of controlled substances, marijuana or cannabinoids” and cannot “consume or possess any alcoholic beverages.”
She must check in with Texas’ Community Supervision and Corrections Department monthly, provide proof of employment and allow her supervision officer to visit her home or another location “at any time.”
If her job changes or she and husband Tye Strickland move, she must notify her supervisor immediately.
And there’s no courtroom sequel planned: By accepting the plea deal, Rycroft has waived her right to appeal its conditions.
Following her arrest, Rycroft shared a candid message saying she was “struggling.”
