Lounge’s Feel Your Breast campaign celebrates and empowers every body

Breast Cancer Awareness Month runs every October. The annual campaign raises awareness of screening, treatment and early detection of breast cancer, and spotlights conversations, stories and need-to-knows. As one of the most common cancers, it impacts millions. Awareness is a strong first line of defence and one brand amplifying this message is Lounge.

The British-born lingerie and fashion brand is dedicated to empowering women to feel good in their skin, while using its platform to champion women’s health. This October marks the eighth year of Lounge’s annual Feel Your Breast campaign, which returns to raise vital awareness and funds for the cause.

Feel Your Breast encourages you to check your breasts regularly and get to know your normal, so you can recognise when something doesn’t feel quite right. Spotting potential signs and symptoms earlier can make all the difference, as early diagnosis can save lives. Eight women – the Lounge Legends – are at the heart of the campaign, acting as advocates and educators. Leanne Pero MBE is one of them – her cancer was detected after she found a lump shortly after her mum’s diagnosis. She’s now eight years cancer-free and is passionate about inspiring and empowering women.

If you find it early, it can save your life. Keep checking your breasts,

The difference your support makes

In honour of the Feel Your Breast campaign, all Lounge orders over £40 in October will receive a free limited-edition Lounge Pointelle Triangle Set, nodding to the campaign in two pink and cream prints and acting as a beautiful reminder to check your breasts.

The impact doesn’t end there. With every qualifying order, Lounge will donate £5 to The Lounge Foundation: a charity dedicated to supporting women’s and children’s health through education and support, including events, grants and working with fellow charities.

The Lounge Foundation, for example, has partnered with Birmingham Women’s and Children’s Hospital Charity to bring life-saving equipment and a more comfortable environment for children and their families. Projects include a nature-inspired entrance and a hospital cinema.

Through The Legacy Project, The Lounge Foundation stands beside people who are navigating life after a cancer diagnosis through the provision of financial support. So far, the project has given more than 500 grants to people with the aim of supporting them when they need it most.

With donations being made to The Lounge Foundation this October, now is the time to invest in a few new pieces for your lingerie drawer. You can also donate directly to the charity.

Visit Lounge’s Boob Box

The fun doesn’t stop there, as Lounge’s iconic Boob Box is on tour again this October. The educational hub will visit university campuses across Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Nottingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Edinburgh and Glasgow. It provides a space to learn, chat openly and make boob checking less intimidating. By visiting, you’ll not only leave feeling empowered, but you’ll get a free thong too.
