Lake Bell has confirmed she is dating the artist Rashid Johnson, sharing a Halloween selfie of the pair on Instagram.
The actress, 47, posted the picture on Saturday 31 October with the caption “Happy Hallow-hard launch.” Bell wore a black stole with a matching beret, while Johnson, 48, was in a classic charcoal-coloured tuxedo.
Neither has said any more about the relationship.
Friends were quick to cheer them on in the comments. Erinn Hayes wrote that Bell was “lookin fiiiiiiiine”, Reed Moreno posted heart-eye emojis, designer Gabriela Hearst called them a hot couple, and Alice Evans wrote “Holy hotness.”
Johnson is identified as an artist. He shares a son, Julius, with his ex-wife, Sheree Hovsepian.
It is not known how long the couple have been together, and the romance has been described as a whirlwind one. Bell has not said whether Johnson has met her family.
Bell was married to Scott Campbell for seven years, and the couple, who have two children, divorced in 2020.
They co-parent amicably.
In 2022, Bell said respect and communication are key, and in a later interview she described their bond as “army buddies”.
She was briefly linked to comedian Chris Rock in 2022, and has said she does not rush to introduce her children to new partners, with she and Campbell setting boundaries around it.
