Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa: The Ruler saw a sharp drop after its opening day but remained largely steady over the weekend, with Sunday collections almost matching Saturday’s.

Day 4 Box Office Collection
Khalifa: The Ruler collected Rs 1.88 crore net in India on Sunday. With this, its total India net collection has reached Rs 11.53 crore. The India gross currently stands at Rs 13.43 crore.
The Malayalam action thriller has performed better overseas, where it has grossed Rs 14.25 crore so far. Its worldwide gross collection now stands at Rs 27.68 crore.
Khalifa: The Ruler started its run with Rs 5.35 crore on Thursday. Collections dropped to Rs 2.40 crore on Friday, followed by Rs 1.90 crore on Saturday and Rs 1.88 crore on Sunday, a marginal 1.1% decline from the previous day.

Khalifa: The Ruler is directed by Vysakh and written by Jinu V. Abraham. Prithviraj Sukumaran plays Mambaraykkal Aamir Ali, with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Malvika Sharma, Shammi Thilakan, Indrans, Renji Panicker and Sanju Sivram also featuring in key roles. Mohanlal, Tovino Thomas and Soubin Shahir make cameo appearances.
The film brings Prithviraj and Vysakh together again after 15 years and marks Neil Nitin Mukesh’s debut in Malayalam cinema.

The story centres on Aamir Ali, who comes from a family with a long history in the criminal world. Their powerful empire operates between the Middle East and India, but betrayal and growing power struggles put the family’s future at risk.
Released on August 20, Khalifa: The Ruler is planned as the first part of a two-film series. The next instalment, Khalifa: The Legacy, is expected to focus on Mohanlal’s character. Jakes Bejoy has composed the music, while Jomon T. John is the cinematographer and Chaman Chacko has handled the editing.
With four days completed, the film will now look to hold its ground at the box office as it enters the weekday run.
