Jennifer Lawrence has used a famous Hunger Games line to urge her fans to vote in the US midterm elections.
The Oscar winner shared a photo on her new Instagram page on Tuesday 3 November, Election Day, captioned: “MIDTERMS BB. DON’T FORGET WHO BURNS WITH US.”
The post included a link to information about polling places.

The picture shows Lawrence out and about in New York, wearing an oversized graphic T-shirt, a blue coat and red trousers.
She had her hair in a braid, the signature style of Katniss Everdeen, and gave the three-finger salute from the series, the silent symbol of rebellion that fans know well.
The caption echoes Katniss’s rally cry in the third film, when she warns the Capitol and President Snow: “Do you see that? Fire is catching… And if we burn, you burn with us!”

The post lands as the franchise prepares to return to cinemas.
The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, the prequel based on Suzanne Collins’ bestselling novel, opens later this month.
Lawrence has also recently confirmed rumours that she will reprise Katniss, alongside Josh Hutcherson and Woody Harrelson, in scenes that are expected to adapt the book’s epilogue.
For many fans, the Election Day message was a reminder of how powerfully the series’ imagery of resistance and solidarity has endured since the first film.
Lawrence’s playful use of it kept the call to vote simple, and gave followers a quick nudge to head to the polls.
