Heidi Klum is keeping fans guessing by sharing a glimpse into her grotesque Halloween costume for the 2026 edition of her annual party.
The 53-year-old supermodel, known for her unwavering commitment to spooky season, has unveiled a look at this year’s outfit with what appears to be a close-up image of textured, flesh-like prosthetic makeup.
“What’s my costume?” Klum captioned her Instagram post. “One week to go….#HeidiHalloween.”
The image – not advised for those who are squeamish – is a close-up shot of the several prosthetic creations that loosely resemble human organs, though some fans have likened it to sea organisms.
“Sea urchins or sea cucumber or Ursula from The Little Mermaid,” one fan guessed.
Another suggested it could be a Clicker, which is the third stage of Cordyceps fungus infection in the supernatural series The Last of Us.
“Looks like organs,” remarked one fan, as another said: “Something underwater.”
Others suggested it could be a reference to The Substance, the body horror in which Demi Moore’s character undergoes a grotesque physical transformation.
“Idk but I’m gagging already,” one fan concluded.
Klum hasn’t offered many hints about her costume in the build-up to the event, but did promise Parade in September that it would be “bloody.”
Last year, Klum went full throttle on her transformation into Medusa, complete with green, scaly prosthetics across her body and face, culminating in a long tail. She wore frightening fangs, green eye contacts and a headpiece complete with snakes in her hair.
Musician Tom Kaulitz, who is Klum’s husband, completed the couple’s costume by dressing as a man who had been turned to stone by Medusa’s gaze.
Every year, Klum gets more creative. In 2024, she enlisted several Cirque du Soleil performers to pose as the tail feathers to her impressive peacock costume.
Among Klum’s most iconic costumes are Steven Spielberg’s E.T. and, possibly most famously, a giant worm outfit that became a social media sensation.
She told Parade that some of her favorite outfits have included when she has transformed into a much older character.
“That’s a lot of fun. I turned myself into someone who was like 90,” she said. “I also loved being an alien. I was really kind of a robot alien. I was red with purple hair, and I was on stilts, so I was like extra tall.”
The supermodel has hosted her annual party, colloquially referred to as “Heidiween,” in New York City since 2000.
