Goldie Hawn, who made her last appearance on the big screen back in 2020, revealed that she is waiting for the right script for her next role.
Speaking to People about her years-long acting break, The First Wives Club actress, who last starred in The Christmas Chronicles 2, opposite her longtime partner, said she is not opposed to returning.
As it has been more than 50 years since Hawn began working in the industry, she admitted her pause came due to “the content.”
She told the outlet that she wants to do “acting for acting’s sake.”
Hawn continued, “I’ve read a lot of shows, a lot of scripts that I didn’t like or I didn’t think I’d fit.”
However, Hawn shared she is not anxiously waiting for work as she has already done “great” job in her acting career.
The Oscar-winning actress said, “The one thing about acting is that I’ve done it and I had a great career, and I honour that.”
She explained, “I would love to get a material that could actually be like, ‘Oh my God, I want this so bad. This is so funny. She’s so crazy. She’s so interesting’. But I haven’t come across it. If somebody came up with a really cool, funny script … I think it would be great.”
As the actress had a remarkable career, she is yet to work with her singer and actress daughter Kate Hudson.
The Song Sung Blue actress recently told E! News that working alongside her family, including stepdad Kurt Russell, and mom Hawn, “could be a disaster” in Hollywood and expressed her desire to work with Hawn.
She gushed, “It would be amazing if I got the opportunity to work with my mom. It probably will never happen but we’ll see put it out there. It would be like Arrested Development.”
