Imagine opening your door and finding a giant python trying to get inside.That’s pretty much what happened in Hasanpur Kadim village in Meerut on Friday. A massive python came out of the nearby fields, moved through the village and eventually made its way towards a house.And one local man had to step in before the snake could slither through the doorway.
Giant python turns up in the village
The python was first spotted near the fields before slowly making its way towards the residential area.Videos from the spot show the huge snake moving along the road as people gather around, trying to figure out what to do.Then it reached the entrance of a house.As the python tried to move further inside, a man grabbed hold of it and attempted to keep it away from the doorway. It was a tense moment, with the snake clearly not giving up easily.Meanwhile, more and more villagers gathered around. Some watched from a distance, while others pulled out their phones to record what was happening.Before long, the quiet village road had turned into a scene of complete commotion.
Villagers call the Forest Department
The villagers eventually managed to prevent the python from entering the house and contacted the Forest Department.Forest officials arrived soon after and began trying to safely capture the snake.Given its size, it wasn’t a quick job. The team, along with the villagers, eventually managed to get the python under control and move it away from the homes.The snake was later released in the Hastinapur Wildlife Sanctuary area.That was probably the ending everyone was hoping for – the villagers were safe, and the python was back where it belonged.

The footage has since caught attention online, with many viewers amazed by just how large the python was.But perhaps the most striking part is the man’s reaction. Instead of simply standing back and watching, he grabbed the snake as it headed towards the house.For the villagers, though, there was little time to think about how unusual the situation was. They had a huge python outside a home and needed to keep it from getting inside.Thankfully, the snake was eventually rescued and released safely.Still, after seeing a python that size turn up on their road, the people of Hasanpur Kadim probably won’t be forgetting this particular Friday anytime soon.
