The Boston Celtics are on a quest to return to the top of the East, but there are many teams standing in their way. The first of which is tonight’s Detroit team that held the top spot in the regular season last year. The Pistons have one of the better young guards in the league, Cade Cunningham.
The Celtics are built around a combination of guys, but their roster continues to change each year. They have Paul George and Jayson Tatum leading the way, but Derrick White is the silent hero. White is one of the better defenders in the game, and he is a strong shooter and scorer as well. His scoring should see an increase this year without Jaylen Brown on the roster.
The Pistons didn’t really make many changes from last season. They added John Collins, replacing Tobias Harris. Collins is not as good a scorer, but might be a better rebounder and defender than Harris. Perhaps he can get some lobs and open threes from Cunningham.
