Chad Lowe and Kim Painter lost their 13-year-old daughter recently.
As the couple shared in a statement on September 29 that their daughter Fiona passed away, the family came together recently for a service memorializing the late 13-year-old over the weekend.
According to People Magazine, the celebration was kept private with only close friends and family’s attendance.
In the statement shared previously, the family described their daughter as “a loving young girl who was smart, creative, and loved to dance.”
They added, “She was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents,” noting that she was the “light of our lives.”
“Her passing is devastating for our entire family and we ask for prayers and privacy at this time,” they added further.
It is pertinent to mention that Fiona is the second of Chad and Kim’s three daughters. As per the medical examiner, the cause of her death was ruled as suicide.
Rob Lowe, the older brother of Chad has been supporting the family during this tough time. The source previously told the outlet, “Rob and Chad are very close. Their family and friends have rallied around Chad and Kim,” adding, “Everyone’s heartbroken.”
“They already went through so much with losing their home last year. Right now, the focus is on being there for them in any way they can,” the source added further.
