Burger King’s new nugget-sized handbag has caused a stir among fans.
The fast food chain announced a revamp to their chicken nuggets and accompanying sauces last month. As part of the celebration, Burger King then launched “Le Nugguette” — a miniature handbag big enough only to store nuggets.
Retailing for $3.99, the handbag has been made available to customers in limited daily drops from September 12-16. Only 100 bags were up for grabs at lenugguettebk.com — but those lucky enough to score one also received one of four sauce-inspired charms and a voucher redeemable for a four-piece chicken nuggets order.
Customers hoping to purchase a bag have been left disappointed by the rollout, as it appeared to sell out within seconds of the noon drop each day.
However, a spokesperson for the fast food chain told USA Today that despite the final drop taking place Wednesday, there will be more chances to secure a bag.

“We’re excited by the enthusiasm around Le Nugguette as we celebrate our new nuggets and sauces,” Burger King continued. “We designed the bag as an exclusive item for nugget and fashion fans, with 100 available each day through September 16, giving fans multiple opportunities to get one.”
The Independent has contacted Burger King for more information.
Fans have shared their disappointment over the Le Nugguette rollout on social media.
“That was absolutely ridiculous! I was there right at noon. Got the chicken nugget purse thing on the cart. Went to checkout where you are on a wait time. It restarted while I was waiting… then of course when it was time… sold out… how ridiculously dumb!” one frustrated customer wrote on X.
“Congrats, Burger King. Bots bought them all out. I was at checkout one day but was told it was sold out as soon as I pressed check out. Don’t give people hope when you can’t deliver,” another wrote while someone else said, “I tried every morning to get a @BurgerKing #LeNugguette bag for my wife. Set an calendar notification and alarms and everything to make sure I was watching it RIGHT at drop time. Every morning I clicked the buy now option as soon as it appeared on screen. Didn’t get one.”
“Site opened at 11:57 and was already sold out before the real drop time,” another lamented.
Burger King isn’t the only chain to disappoint fans with a limited edition merch rollout this week. Starbucks customers were angered over the coffee giant’s handling of its Peanuts collaboration, specifically with regard to the Snoopy cold cup.
Within hours of Tuesday’s merch drop, the $39.95 cold cups were on resale sites for more than double the Starbucks price.
