Bunnie Xo is not exactly crying over spilled milk — she’s apparently enjoying the whole new carton.
Following her divorce from Jelly Roll, the podcaster opened up about life after their nearly decade-long relationship and described the split as an unexpected turning point.
“I know when something like that that’s deeply personal happens, it’s a beautifully tragic, but at the same time there’s always a silver lining, there’s always something better to look forward to,” Bunnie told Sheinelle Jones and Jenna Bush Hager on Thursday’s Today show.
She also made one thing clear: her future isn’t being defined by her former husband.
“There’s so much more to talk about with me especially, and with women, than their past lovers and people in their lives.”
Bunnie, whose real name is Alisa DeFord, also confirmed she still wants to become a mother.
“That’s going to be one of my newest chapters of my next book, and I can’t wait for you guys to read about it because it’s been one hell of a journey, let me tell you,” she said.
As for dating? Bunnie is having a little too much fun being single.
“Ladies, they should’ve never let me back out in the streets because I love it here, and I’m never going back,” she joked.
Her DMs have apparently become quite the dating marketplace.
“It’s a lot. I love reading everbody’s DMs.”
Jelly Roll filed for divorce on May 18, citing “irreconcilable differences,” and the divorce was settled in July. The pair married in Las Vegas in 2016 and briefly split in 2018 before continuing their relationship.
Despite the breakup, Jelly Roll previously told fans that he and Bunnie “will always be best friends.”
For Bunnie, though, the next chapter looks less like heartbreak and more like a fresh start.
