Last year, Billie Eilish confirmed that she is working on her fourth album, after the success of 2024’s Hit Me Hard and Soft.
Now, in an interview with Elle Magazine, she was asked about the update.
She casually replied, “Oh yeah! We’re more than halfway [done].”
Elsewhere in the interview, the Lonely hitmaker reflected on her activism, as she has previously weighed in on lightning rod issues such as actions of ICE and lack of wealth distribution by the uber-rich individuals.
“I was raised like this,” she said, adding, “When you have this insane platform that you can use to advocate for people, but you’re not advocating for people because you don’t want to be controversial?”
“Why is it controversial to step in when someone’s getting bullied and try to stop it? Yeah, you’re probably going to have to deal with some problems, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do it.”
Eilish previously spoke out against ICE during this year’s Grammys, and before this, she blasted billionaires at the Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards, where Meta head Mark Zuckerberg was in attendance.
