Bill Skarsgård has admitted that his children have heard his Pennywise voice, and that it comes out when they misbehave.
The actor made the comments on Josh Horowitz’s Happy Sad Confused podcast. His kids have heard it, he said, “if they misbehave,” adding that the character can “slip in, slip out.”
Nosferatu can “pop in” too, he said.

Skarsgård has two children with his longtime partner Alida Morberg. His daughter plans to dress as a vampire for Halloween. He is skipping a costume himself, calling playing characters his job, which he is doing for free.
He also reflected on his career. He said he feels “kind of spent” on villains and wants to do something original. He joked that he had not been called about James Bond.
Fans will still see him in his best-known role again. He is due to return as Pennywise in season two of It: Welcome to Derry, which is in development.
Skarsgård first played the clown in It in 2017 and returned for It Chapter Two in 2019, before reprising the part in HBO’s It: Welcome to Derry in 2025.
He also played Count Orlok in Nosferatu in 2024.
