Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez may be officially divorced, but the emotional aftershocks of their relationship are still playing out.
According to a report by Star Magazine, Affleck recently made a grand post-split gesture by gifting Lopez his share of the $60 million mansion the former couple purchased together in 2023.
This move has reportedly stirred fresh feelings, and now an insider claimed the actor’s decision may have been driven by lingering guilt.
“He feels like this will absolve him of the way he messed with her head [during their marriage],” the source shared.
However, the insider went on to dish that gesture may not be as straightforward as it seems.
“But that’s typical of Ben — he’s trying to avoid drama and only creating more,” the insider added.
Lopez filed for divorce after two years of marriage, and while she has maintained a composed public image, reports suggested that the reality behind the scenes has been more complicated.
At the time, it was said, “While Jen has been trying to be strong in public, behind closed doors she’s less sure of herself and has admitted that she’s been missing Ben a lot.”
