Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have called it quits after nine years of marriage.
In a joint statement shared with People magazine, the actors announced their separation, revealing that they have been living apart “for a while” and that this decision ultimately proved to be the right one for their family.
“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever—and it’s GOOD,” Amanda and Thomas said in their statement.
For those unversed, the former couple first met in 2015 as co-stars on the Off-Broadway play, The Way We Get By.
Later that year, Amanda and Thomas played love interests on The Last Word. By the following spring, their on-screen relationship had blossomed into real-life romance.
After being in a relationship for a year, they quietly got married in March 2017.
“We eloped. We just took off into the country with an officiant and, just the two of us, and we did our thing,” Thomas confirmed at that time.
“It was beautiful,” added the Life in Pieces star. “It was everything that it should be. It was just the two of us talking to each other.”
For those unversed, Amanda and Thomas share two children, Nina, 10, and Thomas Jr. 6.
