Adam Driver explains why he agreed to star in ‘X-Men’ reboot

Adam Driver is all set to star as Nathaniel Milbury in the upcoming X-Men reboot.

The 42-year-old actor recently appeared on the latest episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he revealed that Kevin Feige had persuaded him to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During the interview, Adam told host Jimmy Kimmel that he has been a fan of X-Men since childhood.

“I was a big X-Men fan when I was a kid,” the House of Gucci star said.

Adam also recalled playing X-Men with his cousin Tony when they were kids.

“Me and my cousin Tony, you know, he would be Sabretooth, and I would be Wolverine,” he recalled. “It’s a big deal.”

When asked whether being part of the upcoming reboot was a big moment for him, Adam did not hesitate at all.

“Huge for me,” he said.

The Marriage Story actor was approached for several projects over the years, but none of these opportunities convinced him to join the MCU.

When he was asked why X-Men stood out, Adam responded that he accepted the offer “because I was a big fan.”

“I mean, I was a fan of the other things, too, but this one felt like the right time. And then it’s X-Men, he continued.

Adam added that the creative team behind the movie also influenced his decision.

“It was really X-Men and Jake Schreier, who’s the director, his idea for it, and that it’s Kevin Feige,” he said. “It all kind of came together. The script is really cool.”
