Romy Reiner brought a poignant family connection to the finale of Larry David’s HBO sketch series Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness.
The 28-year-old actor, youngest child of the late Rob and Michele Reiner, appeared in the show’s seventh and final episode, Lawrence, which debuted August 7, playing an exasperated nurse caring for an ailing President William Henry Harrison.
Her father had filmed what became his final screen performance for the same series, playing George Washington in the show’s second episode, Farewell, which aired July 3, roughly five months after Rob and Michele were found fatally stabbed at their Brentwood home on December 14, 2025.
Their son Nick has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and has pleaded not guilty.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Romy and her father appeared in separate sketches and did not share a scene together.
Her role marked a return to a Larry David project, she previously played a cashier on Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2021, and executive producer Ethan Lewis told TV Insider that Rob had filmed his segment back in October 2025, saying having him involved felt special at the time and took on even greater significance afterward.
Rob and David’s creative partnership dated back to 2001, when Reiner began a recurring role on the original run of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
