While the Sussexes are not making an appearance at the annual royal reunion at Sandringham, there is one ex-royal who is “in consideration” to be invited over.
According to sources cited by Closer Magazine, Princess Anne and Prince Edward have urged the King to “be both kind and prudent to show his brother [Andrew] a little more mercy”.
Queen Camilla is also surprising not against the idea, despite her disagreement with Andrew’s actions.
However, the insiders insist that King Charles wants Andrew at “arm’s length”. Meanwhile, Prince William and Princess Kate are “totally opposed to the idea of his disgraced uncle coming anywhere near the family, on Christmas Day of all days”.
If this was even a possibility entertained by the King, the Prince and Princess of Wales will firmly opt out of the gathering.
