Prince William, who has been following in the footsteps his father King Charles and taking his environmental advocacy a step further, has warned about a new crisis for the future.
The founder of the Earthshot Prize expressed his concerns about a “terrifying prospect” of more UK wildfires in future due to climate change.
He stressed that the preparation will be “crucial” during this time and one tragic incident should be a lesson for all.

William had said this during a visit to the Treherbert in Rhondda Cynon Taf, which was threatened by a huge mountain fire in August. The locals at the time at supported the firefighters to help in time of the crisis.
“We need to start taking wildfires as seriously as the continent has done,” he said, noting issues such as a lack of firefighting aircraft.
The Prince of Wales had told the firefighters that this year was the first where he “felt generally worried about the scale of the wildfires in the country”.
He added, “We might go again next season… it’s quite a terrifying prospect if we’re not… on the ball.”
Furthermore, he noted that the need for “aerial assets” has been pushed up in the government as it’s an area they are lacking in.
The update comes around the time King Charles and Camilla are in Antigua and Barbuda for the final leg of their Caribbean tour.
