Fully embracing the character, the singer showed off a range of impressions, channelling everyone from The Terminator and Johnny Bravo to John Lennon and Hermione Granger.

“Shombody shtop mehhh,” he captioned the post, referencing one of the most memorable lines from the 1994 comedy, which also marked Cameron Diaz’s feature film debut.

The Mask follows Stanley Ipkiss (Carrey), a timid bank clerk who discovers a magical wooden mask connected to Loki, the Norse god of mischief. Once he puts it on, he transforms into a chaotic, green-faced trickster with reality-bending powers.

Malik’s Halloween reveal comes shortly after the conclusion of his Konnakol Tour, which supported his fifth studio album of the same name. The nine-date run began in London on May 23 and wrapped up in Lima, Peru, on October 14. The tour was originally scheduled to feature 32 shows, but the US leg, an Irish concert and two UK dates were cancelled due to the singer’s health issues.
