The collection of treasured memories capture a young Cruel Summer hitmaker working on her music, interacting with collaborators and even catching a nap after a long day in the studio.
“Here is the day we began recording Taylor Swift, the debut album that came out 20 years ago today,” Orrall wrote in the caption. “Over the next few weeks I’ll post some more, especially about the amazing musicians who played these unforgettable songs. The producer also provided descriptions for each photograph, offering fans a closer look at the moments behind the music.
The first image, captioned “singing The Outside,” shows a teenage Eras Tour performer standing in front of a microphone in the recording studio, wearing headphones as she works on the song.
The second photograph, described as “talking to the late great Gary Burnette,” shows The Fate Of Ophelia hitmaker in conversation with the late musician and collaborator.
The third image, captioned “writing It’s Only Me…’,” features a handwritten draft associated with the song.
The fourth photograph, described as “thumbs up at The Tracking Room,” captures another moment from the recording sessions at the Nashville studio, documenting the young artist during the album’s production.
Finally, the fifth image, captioned “a nap after a long day!”, shows the now 36-year-old songstress curled up and sleeping on a black couch while wearing a hoodie.
For the unversed, Orrall worked extensively with Swift during the early years of her career in Nashville, when she was still a teenager developing her songwriting and recording skills.
His latest post offers fans a personal look back at that formative period, long before Swift became one of the world’s biggest music stars.
