Here is what to know about this oddsboard:

The Favorite: Ohio State remains the national title favorite at +440 after Week 5. The Buckeyes quickly moved past their heartbreaking loss to Texas with a dominant 59-3 win over Kent State in Week 3. Then, they took down Illinois behind a record-breaking performance from Jeremiah Smith. Smith finished with career highs in catches (12), receiving yards (217) and touchdowns (four). His four receiving TDs tied the Ohio State single-game record, making him the fifth Buckeye to reach that mark. Then, on Saturday, Smith led the Buckeyes to a 31-14 win over Iowa, as he became Ohio State’s all-time leader in receptions (207), receiving yards (3,381) and receiving touchdowns (36). The Buckeyes have their eyes on a massive Oct. 17 showdown with Indiana.

Crimson Tide Surge: Alabama dominated previously undefeated Mississippi State on Saturday. Kamario Taylor entered the matchup with plenty of Heisman buzz, but Keelon Russell stole the show. With three touchdowns, Russell became the fifth Alabama quarterback since 2000 to account for at least 14 touchdowns through the team’s first five games. The win improved Kalen DeBoer to 5-1 (.833) in true road games against AP-ranked opponents at Alabama. The Tide’s 56 points were their most ever in a road game against a ranked team. For No. 16 Mississippi State, the 56 points allowed tied the SEC record for the most surrendered at home by a ranked team and set the record for the most allowed in regulation. The Tide are rolling at 5-0, and their title odds have surged from +2300 to +1300, nearly cut in half in one week.
